April was a busy month and I only managed to squeeze-in a few graphic novels. These can be great for reluctant readers who may be intimidated by a whole book full of words. The combination of words and pictures in a comic strip format is more exciting for some students. Side note: The City of Ember graphic novel was originally written by Jeanne DuPrau as a traditional novel, which is what I’m reading now because the graphic novel was so intriguing!
